12v Buds,

I was wondering if any of you guys can help me i need the wiring schematic for the brake switch that goes ontop of the brake pedal as well as the color code for the rear brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals for a 1997 GMC 3500? The reason why i need this is because my buddy bought this truck to convert into a tow truck and when they were cutting the bumper in the back they burnt the wires with the torch and now i can't get a signal in the back when he press the brakes, i check all fuses and relays and they are fine but i know something happened because it burnt out one of the battery wires up in the front. I get the signal with my power probe in the rear for the turn signals just cant get any signal from the brake lights. Thanks for your help in advance!!!

Is the connection that plugs into the back of the brake pedal still there?

have you checked at the connection to see if there is voltage present? and that the switch is outputting voltage when the pedal is depressed, Check these and let me know what you find, ONLY if there is no voltage at the switch, test for continuity between the wires present, you should get continuity between at least two of the wires, let me know what you find.
