any difficulties i should be concerned about before starting this car.

I am using the DLPK wired D2D into a Hornet remote start system.  Although i see on this diagram d2d 2way and 1 way.  What does that mean?

Appreciate you help with this,

Stacy

the 2 way is for communication to and from the module to the car and back. The one way is just sending commands.

FYI - anyone doing this car, if you take the battery out, the windows will not one touch down and up anymore and the sunroof will do the same.  The dealer had to perform a "so called reset" and the customers expense. Apparently this is a regular problem cause the tech asked the customer automatically "did you take out the battery".

In order to add the relay for the starter you have to access the fuse box behind the battery. No it left no other choice but to remove it.  If anyone knows how to "reset" the windows, please post .

i dont know about these cars, but i did a scion tc and the same issue.

I searched online and found if you take off the door panel and remove the switch to reset it, its both windows down up down up.  Something along those lines.  In the Scion the lights on the switches would blink saying that the window express up and down are not programmed did this car show anything like that??

The window reset is detailed in the owners manual.  It involves lowering the windows and raising the windows a few times and takes no more then 3 minutes.  Any dealership that would charge for that "reset" is a dealership to stay away from.

I'm with Kevin here, the factory reset on everything * with one touch is to power ignition, lower subject window (s) and  hold button down for 30secs, release, move upwards and hold for 30 secs. Rovers (whatever they were used to have that problem if battery was disconnected.

Everything so far, all BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen (UK) Vauxhall, Opel (GM Europe), Ford Europe, Mits., Lex RX 300/400.

Kevin Pearson's comment about staying away from that Dealership is spot on.

Thats why i posted it here. Thanks guys. I thought it was weird, but i wasnt with the customer when he went to the stealership.

On another note, the car was a breaze with the DLPK, alothough i forgot all about the prox key so we have to add a 1101T.
