06 escalade video out off factory rse?

anyone know the pin and color for video out off of a escalade with the factory flip down panasonic unit? this truck has the flip down with dvd and another panasonic flipdown for the third row seats. im trying to add headrest monitors to the system. and also when soldering the rca i know i solder the signal or center wire of the rca to the video out wire do you just ground the shield wiring? thanks in advance

You would solder the shield to the video out ground connection or directly to ground.

I do not know about your particular overhead, most OEM units do not have a composite video output.  They use RGB in most cases.  You may have to power a monitor up in the vehicle, strip an RCA cable, ground the shield and begin probing with the center conductor.  If there is a composite video output, you should be able to find it.

You really need to test your unit, it may have composite video.
