I recently purchased a Alpine pdx-5 amplifier. I installed it and got everything working, what I need help with is setting the filters and the crossover points on the amp. Does anyone here run one of these amps and can help me with these settings. My system is pretty basic it consist of a Alpine ida-x001 head unit a set of Rockford Fosgate 5 ¼ mids and 1” tweeter up front. In the rear I have a pair of 6 ½ Rockford Fosgate speakers

And for the sub im running a JL Audio 8w7.So if anyone has one of these and can walk me thru tuning it I would really appreaciate it. Thanks in advance

Nice amp. I run 4.150 and 1.600 Alpine amps. But these settings are similar with all. Look up the GAIN SETTINGS topic in the HOT TOPICS for the best help.

For the sub channel power input you want to match the output voltage of the HU voltage. You can switch this without any damage. Try both settings -you will notice an immediate difference in the subs when you get it right.

For the amp crossovers; in most cases you want your subs to ouput below 80-100mhz. Your midranges should output above this. Depending on your HU, you will need to set the high pass filters to match. Least that was my experience.
