Two last questions:

With a new head unit, is it better to turn the internal head unit amp off  along with any crossover functionality since the outboard amps and passive crossovers will be handling those duties???

Also, with the internal amp off, would i lose any EQ, Timing, Sound Quality  functionality etc...

Sorry, I just can't find these answers in the forums.

Thanks

Ignore these last two questions, the internal amp if I have read correctly does not apply to the rca pre-outs...since this will be what I am running to the outboard amps, I will still have access to sound process, eq, etc...

Sorry, told you guys I was new at this.

However, i am still going to need some instruction regarding crossover/cutoff freq etc...I will continue to do my research and post once I have a question.

Thanks

With the Pioneer HU's you have to turn off the internal amp or you will get some distortion also using external amps. This does not turn off EQ, Hi pass filters, crossover frequency adjustments, etc.
