03 ford mustang pats

OK...I am working with a friends 03 Ford Mustang that she got and only has 1 of the original keys.  I have a place on Ebay to get the keys that I have used before for $14...problem lies in getting it programmed.  To do it myself, I need 2 programmed keys and to get it done via the factory or a locksmith is $125-150+

My question here....how can I bypass or turn off the Pats system in this car? I done it on my 03 Ford truck I had a long time ago and could used a copied key to start it and such...but how can I do it on the 'stang??

I think not. Idatalink units will require two separately coded keys to program. Your cheapest bet is to order the key on Ebay, have it cut at Ace hardware(they do it for free) and finding a locksmith that will code it for you the cheapest.

Also, around here we have a mobile company called Hightech Locksmiths that will sell you a clone key(key that duplicates the code you have in the first key). They do them for around 75 bucks total, you can then put this in a keybox for bypass. May be cheaper, but you are better off getting a second key just incase you lose the first...

Here . The keyoveride all from Fortin only requires one key to program on this vehicle.

OK...checking the Fortin site, this is the only one I find for the one key, KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL

Is this the correct one I would use?

Next question, will this allow the car to be started with a basic cut key?
