Have you tried placing the key in the switch and turn it to the run position, and try to remote start it.  Will it start now?

Did you turn the key to the run position?

I am not real sure if the passloc system looks for a signal between off and on, or between on and start.  It may look for it between on and start, if that is how it works, just turning it on will not tell us anything.  Maybe some of our hands on guys can let us know how it works.

The passloc system I worked on yesterday sent the resistance after cranking the motor.  (this was in a 2001 Grand Am).

What happens if the vehicle is running and you remote start it and remove the key?
