I've installed a new HU and aftermarket amps in my 2001 toyota 4Runner , can someone tell me how to disable the factory amp.

ok , i just eliminated/removed the stock amp and bought the harness adapter.

just  remove the stock ampifier , wich is to the right of the glove box(silver in color). and then use the provided diagram to jump the two harnesses together
in process of changing everything

usually on toyotas with factory amps the normal radio plug will be on the output side of the amp and it should just plug straight into the harness adapter. you might need to extend the wires but that seems to be the easiest way to do things.
