what kind of bypass, 06 rendezvous

on the 06 buick rendezvous . is it a transponder system ? if so ,is the chip located in the steel shaft of the key ? or head of the key ? can i use key-in-box bypass ?

The wiring database on this site has only until 2005, and it is transponder equipped, so going with experience here, i am going to say yes it would have transponder once there is a factory immobiliser present.

The transponder is located in the head of the key, and yes a key in the box bypass will work, although there maybe keyless methods available, someone else will have to confirm this!

thanks T&T.    the head of the keys look small and thin , so i thougt that , there are no chips in them .

Transponder keys look like regular keys there isn't any visible evidence of the transponder!

If PK3 is engraved on the shaft of the key, then it's transponder based.

There is a passlock/passkey security system in that vehicule, you can use the idatalink ADSDL module which will control the passlock/passkey + give you door locks...or you can use the xpress kit XK01....they both work very well.....I did lots of them....
