need wiring for a remote start for a 2009 volkswagone jetta, its got sunroof and power windows, its the city jetta. thanks in advance

Do a search, this topic came up a couple of weeks ago. Don't even consider this without a CAN adaptor.

the wiring on the cars is the same as the 07's?

Yes, nothing really different about this other than it's called a City Jetta. You will still need to loose the valet key to the remote starter in a universal key in the box. Very easy vehicle to install into.

IGNITION   Yellow On back of ignition switch +      
   
Remove the plastic cover around the steering column and you will see a small black box mounted to column held by 1 torx screw. Remove this box to expose the ignition key wires, they are all 22 gauge.
ACCESSORY   Green On back of ignition switch +

STARTER   Red On back of ignition switch +

Remove the cover over the battery and you will see 2 harnesses against the firewall. The wire is located in one of the 2 harnesses.
FUEL INJECTOR   Opposite from RED / black At any injector on engine AC
   
LOCK   BROWN / green At module in driver's door -           
   
One wire system uses straight ground to lock/arm and ground through a 1200-ohm resistor to Unlock/Disarm (double pulse to unlock all doors).
UNLOCK   BROWN / green At module in driver's door -           
   
One wire system uses straight ground to lock/arm and ground through a 1200-ohm resistor to Unlock/Disarm (double pulse to unlock all doors).
ARM Arms with lock wire    
   
DISARM Disarms with unlock wire    
   
GLO-PLUG SIGNAL   DATA ONLY Use a 15 second start delay   
   
DOMELIGHT / ALL DOORS RED / yellow At light under dash -
   
HOODPIN   BROWN / red At pinswitch in engine compartment -
   
TRUNK RELEASE   Blue At switch in driver's door -       
   
BRAKE SWITCH   BLACK/ red On fusebox or in driver's kickpanel +

Parklights require some special wiring, please see the provided diagram.
