I just installed an Avital 4000xl in my 01 GP GT.  When the night time lights are turned on (when it is dark outside) the radio display dims and kind of flickers a little bit.  If I turn the dome lights on they almost act as strobe lights.  The information center doesn't dim, and the adjustment for the lights doesn't really do much.  I am not sure what I could have done during the install to cause this problem.  I had one wire going to the light switch that I have since cut and the problem stayed.  I am not seeing any other wires that could have possibly affected this.  Anyone have any ideas?

Here is what I have connected currently:

Heavy Gauge Wires:
All connected just under the steering column
Red 12V (x2) -- red wire
Pink Ignition output -- pink
Violet starter output -- yellow
Orange accessory output -- orange
Pink/White ignition output -- white
Second plug
White parking light output --
black (-) ground input -- ground on steering column
RED / white (-) 200mA channel 2 output -- not connected
brown (-) horn honk output -- not connected
orange (-) ground when locked -- not connected
WHITE/ blue (-) activation input -- not connected
yellow (-) ignition output -- not connected
GREEN / WHITE (factory alarm rearm) -- not connected -- found the plug by the drivers side strut tower, not sure which dark green to connect to.
GREEN/ black (factory alarm disarm) -- not connected -- know where to look for the ORANGE / black wire, but can't locate it. Not sure where this 32 pin harness is at???
Plug 3 -- None of these are connected
Pink (-) 200mA third ignition on
purple (-) 200mA second starter turn on
orange (-) 200mA accessory turn on
blue (-) 200mA status output
Plug 4
BLACK/ white neutral safety shutdown -- forget the color, maybe ORANGE / black in front of the shifter
violet/white tach input -- connected near coil pack violet/white wire on passengers side
brown (+) brake shutdown -- connected to white wire on brake switch
grey hood pin shutdown -- connected to hood pin
blue/white 2nd status output -- not connected
blue (-unlock) -- white near kick panel -- shows constant voltage, when doors are locked or unlocked voltage drops. Does not work with RS, lights dim on the radio display, but locks do not move
green (-unlock) -- light blue near kick pannel -- same as blue <>NoImage = NoSigImage<>NoImage = NoImageRes

lock/unlock, and disarm are in the blue plug on the keyless module. It's up kinda high in the drivers kick.

I have looked over the notes in my astrochart, and the only "issue" they talk about is the factory alarm....

I see in your notes your not using the status out.... how are you triggering your bypass?

yeah the bypass is connected, had the wire list already writen up and missed it.  So the plug is behind the plastic on the kick panel?  I will have to have another look at it.
