what do you mean by, "keep defroster grid intact"?

if you try and take a razor blade and glass cleaner to your back window like you would the other windows to strip off the tint, you will ruin the rear window defroster grid and it will no longer work.

so just use the plastic bag and the simple green for the rear tint only right? what can i use rather then simple green. i might have something i can use in my house.
i am an idiot

Do you have any Simple Blue laying around the house?  If you do, I would not try it.  Simple Green works better than anything I know of.  CKeeler said earlier that you could use soap and water.  I really think the Simple Green will be your best bet.

regular soapy water works too. the whole process is also easier to do if you have a weed sprayer you can use rather than a spray bottle.

and yes, simple green works better. its cheap enough, just buy some.
