I am getting no sound out of my 4 speaker system.  2002 explorer with am/fm CD.  The radio has been bench tested and works perfectly.  any idea of the problem.  is there an amplifier somewhere in this system. this is not a high end OEM system.  All displays work as does the CD just no sound from any speakers.  unit has two plugs one with approx 16 wires and a second which is only using 2 out of 20 terminals.

Did you connect the Blue/White amp turn on wire?
Do it right the first time

The radio has never been out of the truck before so there should be no wire hook up issues.   I did not think this oem installation had an amp because it is not one of the higher end installations.  Only 4 speakers and no subwoofer.  I will look for the possible amp.  One of the post answers above noted it would be behind rear passenger trim.  Should there be an access panel.  if not it will require removal of all the rear plastic panel to get the rear side off.  not simple if there is nothing there.
