i have a g11 remote starter from ultra. i installed it according to the instructions and like a previous poster it will not start the car. i put it in a 2006 cobalt 2.2 automatic. i tried both tach and tach less. tried reprogramming and nothing. the book says the tach wire for the cobalt i a white wire on the ecu number 54 on the 72 pin connector. can anyone tell me where i can get a good tach signal. i even tried the coil. i put the tach wire on every wire the goes to the coil pack an still nothing. thanks bob.

hey, sometimes its more than the tach wire that can cause rs issues. when u try to rs, does your parking lights flash at all? if so check the install book to see what diagnostics show up. does the car crank at all but not start? if so its a transponder issue.

Have you tried a rem. start with the key in the ignition and if so does it start?

Does the starter say it learned the tach signal.
I am very familiar with the Ultra Starts but not the G11 model.
But, with the older units you had to use the "Optional Tach Learn" option to program vehicles without a 12volt start wire.
They changed the procedure on the new (this season's) models. The new procedure is in a leaflet in the box.
Hope this helps.
