light flash or constant

 Ihave a dei 552t hooked up to a ford f-150.  i placed the satellite relay white wire for parking lights on the brown wire near the light switch. when ever I activate the remote start and it starts, the parking lights will simply flash, not remain constantly on. I should say that the unit does not have connections to the locks because it is a bare bones truck. The dei unit was manufactured in 12-96. it has five dipswitches, tach,  tach threshold , runniong time, door locks, and learn. but in the manual i downloaded, it said nothing about different programming forlight functio ns. any help would be great.

It is a programmable feature (default is flashing) - look in your install manual. Brent Haugen
