Is there anyone that can fill me in on how the clips on the Montero center panel work? I am able to pry the top quarter away from the dash, but the bottom half doesn't seem to budge. With my 01 Eclipse this wasn't a problem getting the panel off to access the HU. Are there screws that are on the bottom edge or is this just a panel that needs to be yanked on pretty hard. I just don't want to break any clips or tabs in the process.

Thanks in advance

all you need to do is pry two at a time, starting with the bottom two clips. if you go one at a time, it wedges all three of the other corners into the surrounding plastic and you'll never get it out that way. flat screwdrivers work the best, just be careful.

There's two phillips screws hidden under plastic covers/caps, located on the upper radio bezel.  Once you've gotten those out you should be able to just pull on the bottom part and it'll pop right off.
