Greetings,

I'm planning on installing a LCD panel on the center top of a 96' Dodge Caravan/Pymouth Voyager. I've read previous forum posts that speak of different ways to hang it - MDF, Plywood, etc.

Has anyone done this on this or similar year (93-00) vans? There is no center climate, no sunroof. I plan on pulling the wires and signal up the left side pillar then to the LCD unit right behind the roof lights/garage door/sunglasses unit.

I was plan on pulling the liner down, checking the distances, placing a board on the roof between crossmembers or using high grade adheasive (PL, epoxy, etc. - braced while drying) and then using that to hang the unit through the fiberboard headliner.

Does anyone have some input on this concerning the install? I really want to do a great job on this for the WAF. My son is now 12 months and during 8 hours drives, I want to keep him occupied. lol

Thanks,

Carl

Ive done ity the way you mentioned works great................But if your going to pull the headliner out I would mount mdf on the back side of the headliner and bolt the screen down with washers and a nut.....If you dont have clearance to bolt the screen to the mdf on the back side of the headliner , I would screw the screen to the mdf on the back side of the headliner and grind the exposed screw threads down flush with the mdf and reinstall the headliner..........on another note triple check that you mount the screen straight and centered.
