How good are these amps?people say they are one of the best amps ever made. How much would they be worth today.I met a guy today who has 6 of these in his storage shed and wanted to sell them cheap. They were in good condition just a little dusty, i am going to have them tested tomorrow and make him an offer then.what do you guys think.

I know you did not ask for the specs, but in case you need them:

Alpine 3545

2 x 250W @ 4 ohms (0.08% THD)

2 x 350W @ 2 ohms (0.8% THD)

1 x 700W @ 4 ohms bridged (0.8% THD)

Freq. Response: 10Hz ~ 50kHz

S/N Ratio: 110 dBA

Fuse: 3 x 30A

Dimensions: 17.3" x 9.1" x 2.9" (44cm x 23.2cm x 7.3cm)

I have worked on one or two of the amps of that era. They were very difficult to work on. Which is only bad if they were not reliable. But I think they were very reliable. As far as listening to one, I can not help you there. But rest assured, if Alpine put their name on it,

No,I was lookimg into buying 6 of them from a guy i met who had them in his storage shed ,still considering it.

Yes bought and sold 5 of 6 keeping one for later project maybe ,i will post if i want to sell.
