I want to thank all those who took the time to answer my questions.
I have finally decided (and ordered most of it) what I am installing in my 2008 GMC Canyon single cab:
Kenwood KDC-X993 Head unit
GMOS-01 to retain all the chimes and On-Star
All wired up with KnuKonceptz power, RCA's and speaker wire
US Amps XT-800.2v3 for the fronts
US Amps XT-2000DEv3 out back
Polk MM6501's up front
1 RE Audio SL-12D4 behind the seat
The box is going to be 4" deep, about .87^ft (requires .74^ft, has a .10^ft displacement and a little extra for bracing.
I haven't figured out which Kinetik battery will fit my Canyon, looks like the HC1800 (I wish they were categorized by group like traditional automotive batteries)
I will be doing the "Big Three" as well, all with KnuKonceptz 1/0 gauge.
I think that about covers it... oh yeah, Got a Viper 350 Plus to help keep it all in my truck.
I will post pictures as soon as I start receiving my goodies.

That's it. The RE Audio SL12 only has a 3.5" mounting depth. I have chatted with a few people who have one or two, and I found a guy locally who has a single 10" and you would have to hear it to believe it.
