astrostart 2106

hello there. I recently bought a 2002 tahoe that had a Astrostart 2106 (no alarm) already installed in it. In my previous vehicle I had the 2205 (no longer own) and now I'm really missing the 2-way functionality that the 2106 doesn't have. So my question is: Would it be possible, theoretically, to swap the 2106 brain with a 2205 or a 4204, the antenna and obviously the remote? Would it work? Probably have to redo the rpm setting and some others settings but would it work? Second question: Is it possible to use the trunk release option to turn on a heated seat? Is there a link to an example that someone could provide? Or if it's basic, maybe explain how to do it? Thanks for any info!

It is possible but you will have to program all of the outputs on your new starter and change antenna and antenna wire, but the main plugs are the same. if you have not installed one be careful.

That's basically the answer I was looking for. I wouldn't attempt it myself. I tried to ask a guy at radio shack that question and of course he said no just so he could try to sell me a new one. Thanks for the response!
