Hey guys i just got the new pioneer  5100UB head unit and i when i set my settings for everscroll, dimmer function, time and EQ settings when i take off my ignition and turn it back on with the key all the settings are gone and i have reset everything when i power it back up. what could be the problem here? these headunit suppose to remember these setting right? HEELPP anyone

It would help if we knew what kind of a vehicle you had. You connected the radio's yellow wire to a switched 12 volt source. It needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt source.

What about radio channel presets? Sound like your memory wire/ constant is hooked to a key hot.

 so my yellow wire will go to white and blue?

Ensure that the yellow wire from your deck is hooked to the constant 12v+ blue/white wire of the vehicle.

yes, blue wire with a white stripe from the vehicle to the yellow wire from the deck.

one more thing could this be the reason why the headunit does not beep to tell you you left the faceplate on after 5 seconds?  I have warning tone set to on in my setting.
