Each sub should have it's own airtight section within the box, and each section should have an internal volume that matches that of the manufacturer's recommended numbers for the subs.

if it is sealed than use dividers. if it is ported than you will most likeley need the room/.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Actually if you're running all 4 subs off the same amp (which I really hope you're not doing) it would be fine for the subs to share an enclosure without dividers. However, due to the inconsistencies of amplifiers, when using more than 1, you'd definitely want to divide the enclosures.

What i would do is make one enclosure for each pair of subs so you would have 2 big chambers and 2 subs in each chamber. and i would get 2 of the same amps hook up one to 1 pair and the other to the other pair, you might want to get a cap so that each will get equal amount of volts. did the same thing i made one big box and divided it into 2 chambers, i have 4 Jl audio 12w6s and 2 JBL 1200X1 for each pair, and you can hear me coming from a mile down the raod. no bullsh*t, Just see what every one else thinks.
