i have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with an Alpine cd player wired into the interior light circuit. the circuit has a dead short, it blows the 20 amp fuse (fuse # 12 on the panel immediately after inserting a new one, so no interior lights or tunes. i haven't been able to located a wiring diagram for this circuit anywhere. anyone else come across this problem or have any ideas

Wire the deck correctly! there is no need to run it off the interior lights. Everything you need is in the factory radio wire harness. Dodge vehicle wiring

There is a good chance that the domelight and the radio constant share the same fuse.   Did this happen just after the radio install?   Did you add tweeters to your A pillar just before this happened?    If you unplug the radio, does it still blow the fuse?

disconnect your red wire from where it's at and connect it to a RED / white wire
