Hello everyone.  I have a 2008 GMC sierra and  want to install a  remote starter on it.  I have a autopage rs603 and the bypass module is a dlpk.  My tech sheets say I dont' hook up the start wire?  In addition how hard is it to install and wire up the dlpk to this truck?  any help would be great.  My rs unit says it has "GM no start wire timing"  anyone know what that means?.  anyways thanks again.

That truck is very easy to do ( IMO ) but I use the iDatalink module that takes care of everything including the convenience features ( lock, unlock ,door sense, hood, etc ). Not familiar with the DLPK and it's functions, but the truck itself doesn use a starter wire at the ignition switch.

So I understand you, the start wire from the RS is not used then?  The bypass module does the all the work?  and what is the difference in module you suggested?  thanks again, hope I am not being annoying.

The main difference between the two modules is that the iDatalink doesn't loose it's programming if the vehicles looses power & it also has RAP shut down. If the DLPK looses power you have to cycle the key to start and it will releasrn the module. The DLPK Is alot like the Fortin CANSL2 ( if not the same module ). I install Compustar PRO systems so the iDatalink is naturally the choice module for me. The module will do all the work for bypass as well as convenience features. This vehicle usually takes about 45 minutes from start to finish with the iDatalink in D2D mode.

So everytime the vehicle looses power you have to reprogram the module?  that does not sound very convienent.  maybe I will try the idata link route, thanks for all the helpful info.

Yes, all you have to do is start the vehicle with the key and it reprograms, but if you don't know that the battery is dead in the truck and you try to start the truck, it trips the PK3+ system and locks you out until it resets. I had this happen to various customers of mine when using the CANSL2
