Hey im still having the spiking problem And I noticed all the suggestions especially the Ground from Engine to Chassis they keep saying sounds bad. I was watching yuobute and saw that someone has ground wires from their Alt to their Negative battery Terminal.
So Now Im wondering if i can have 2 0-gauge wires straight from an Alt-Bolt to the Negative Battery terminal and another to the Firewall for better efficiency... Right now I just have a wire from a random bolt on my engine that goes to a shiny metal part on the chassis to support my engine to chassis ground. I think This may Very Well Be the Jack in my a**. What do you guys think? is this safe?
PS: ive done everything else possible... and i just took the HO Alt out but i may have to give it another shot.
I can't hear you!

It's not going to hurt anything. What size are your power wires for your alternator, and battery?
A DMM is a beautiful thing.

their both 0 Gauge wires. and the voltage spikes between the alt and battery are lower than between the battery and amps by about .9 volts. So when i see the spike on the DC DMM at my amps at 15.9v the spike between the Alt and Battery was about 15v
