2001 vw golf hatch release

Hi there,

I am installing an alarm in my 2001 vw golf.  All is going well, and almost everything works.  I am having trouble with the hatch release though.  I hooked up the hatch (-) trigger from the alarm to the hatch release wire at the comfort control module in the car.  When I press the hatch release button I can hear something happen back at tthe hatch, but it doesn't unlock.  Do I need a relay to make this work?  If so, how do I set it up?

The other thing I am having problems with are the door pins. I got the drivers door from the light in the door when I had the door panel off, and I can do the same with the passenger door if I have to.  How can I get the rear door pins though?  There is no light in them, and the dome light is on a delay.

use the blue/gray wire for the door trigger..but if the delay is bothering u  u can try it this way

 They are BROWN / white and are all located in their own door at their own door module..u must diode isolate the  trigger input wire though

Thanks, I have already tried the blue/grey at the comfort control, it didn't work at all.  I will try thge BROWN / white ones though.

Any idea about the hatch release?

Ok, I tried one already, but I am sure I set it up wrong . . .

Do you know how I need to set it up for this to work?

Well I have a few I could use . . . I have a hella 40amp, a blazer 30amp or a no-name 30/40amp.  Only one of them has a wiring harness - the last one.  They are like this:

85-BLACK

If the trunk pop is a negative drigger you'll hook it up like this

pin 86 will got to constant 12 volts.....

pin 85 will go to the trunk pop output off the brain

pin 30 goes to the trunk pop wire in the vehicle itsself

pin 87 will go to Ground......(if the trunk pop wire in the car is positive then hook this up to 12 volts)

then pin 87a doesnt need to be used

Ok, this works - almost.  What it is g=doing now is locking the trunk.  If I unlock it, then oress the button it locks.  I need it to unlock.

Do I have the wrong wire in the car, or is the signal wrong?

Ok, i figured it out, I just took of the door panel and grqabbed the wire right off the back of the switch.  Turns out I don't even need a relay at all.  Thanks for all the help!

Now allI have left is the door pins . . .
