I have a 97 Honda Civic and am looking to replace the front speakers. The size is 6 1/2 inches and the car does not currently have tweeters. I am using a pdx 4.100 to power my current speakers and want a good sounding speaker that is at least 100 watt rms in power.
So I have two questions then. I want to know how much of a pain it is going to be to drill holes in my door for tweeters and how long would it take. My second question is what speaker would you recommend given my requests and where would I look into purchasing it.
Thank you very much

Drilling the hole will be easy as soon as you have your door panel removed.  I am not going to recomend a certain brand of speaker, however make sure that which ever speaker you get that the midrange is not too deep.  I speak from experience.

as far as installing the tweeter it shouldnt be very difficult to install. now when you get to speaker reccomendations, that will depend on a few things, #1 what is your budget, #2 depth and size, #3 and are you going for sound quality or volume. if you can post some of this information im sure we can help you out more.
in process of changing everything

I don't really want to spend more than $300, although I am flexible if something really catches my ear. Sound Quality matters more to me than volume, although I do want to volume as well.
Sorry I didnt post this before, but the amp I am currently running runs at either 2 ohms or 4 ohms at 100 watts. A friend was steering me towards some polk MOMO's but wanted some input on some other speakers.
Thanks.
