I had a customer stoped by and had a 2000 Ford windstart, with a remote start astrostart ithink model 2006 or thats what he said. The problem is that a few days before. His battery when out and car was not responding. So he took it out and charged it for 3 hours. The ford then started working again, but the next day got really cold and the battery when out again. So know he when and buy a new battery and know car woulnt start, and security light comes on in the dash. Is there a reset that could be done or something. The installation was done in canada and will car right know its not driveble and he bought the car with the unit. Any ideas? Ive deal with Compustart, Viper, python, crimestopper, and autopage, but not astrostart. Im thinking it could be the fuel pump becouse he said he could make it turn over and sometimes stays on but then dies after few seconds.

I would guess that the type of bypass used is the "key in a box" style. Astro called it a Cut 2 module.

Find the bypass and remove the ground while running trigger from it. (a green wire) Try and start with the key...

I found the bypass but it looks like its not the key in a box. Looks like the master key got dis-program. Is there a way to program the key again or only dealers can do that? thanks
