I need to install an amp in a 1992 Accord LX Wagon.  The looks inside the care don't matter all that much, I am worried about how to get the power cable through the firewall.  Does any one know where the holes are?  I might just go out the hood and in the door.  Would there be any problems with this setup?

THANKS,

Will

Will,
“I might just go out the hood and in the door. Would there be any problems with this setup?”
Don’t attempt to run the wire across the hood and doors because you can pinch and cut the wire when the door and hood closes. Over time this can lead to a short. The easiest way to run the wire through the firewall for this car is thought a rubber boot that is below the fuse box. The location of this hole, which you have to cut in to the rubber boot to feed your power wire throught, is located on the top left side of the car just 10 inch below the fuse box (you are looking directly into the hood of your car).   Get a sharp cutter and cut a small opening of the rubber boot so that you get feed a coat hanger through to the interior of your car. Also, round out the sharp edge of your coat hanger when you are poking your coat hanger through. Be careful that you don’t cut too deep on the rubber boot and cut a wire. All you want to do is just get a small pilot hole to poke the coat hanger through to the interior so that you can fish your power wire through. I hope this helps.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Honda LX Amp Install -- posted image.
