Doing this car on Friday, just a one-button remote start.

Just got the bypass (TBCHR08) in today - I'd ordered it based on Fortin's fit guide alone (all the local distributors are out of the PKU-MUX which was my first choice), without reading the manual, and after receiving it today I'm kicking myself because it's apparently only a supplementary bypass, designed to be used with the CAN-SL-PL or the INT-CHR2. I don't have either, and really don't want to order them since this car doesn't have the newer style CAN ignition barrel.

My question's this - since the TBCHR08 contains the actual transponder, can I hardwire the 2-pin connector that would go to the primary bypass? Either by giving it continuity with a relay controlled by GWR, or by supplying 12V and ground to the correct wires?

Thanks in advance.

OK...did this car today. Learned 2 great lessons:
1. Evidently all the CAN-SL-PL does is provide continuity to the 2 wires that plug in from the TBCHR-08 when the remote start's active. Easy enough to do that with a relay if need be. Of course it would have been just as easy to get a blank Chrysler key and a universal box for a few more $$, or a 556C if one was available.
2. The Audiovox piece I put in has red and RED / white heavy constant 12vdc inputs. Red input only supplies current to the yellow Starter and violet Acc outputs. Therefore it can be connected to ground and the resistors wired inline on the heavy gauge wires, without the need for extra relays.
Definitely need to say don't try this at home to anyone else who'd think of doing it, but it worked for me in a pinch.
