The 508D is neat but does false a lot. If it were mine i'd get the tilt and the shock and be done with it.

You might try a search for an RS3200 Toyota alarm. My bet is they are the same as the Scion unit.

Hey this might help some...

You're right, it's the RS3200+, I foolishly reversed the first digits when typing :(!  Went to the dealer and the parts person was amazingly patient and actually found the schematic for the security system (TVIP and GBS).  It's an EWD PDF file entitled  "TVIP V5  Scion Security"  ln the Toyota technical database:

https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfoPortal/appmanager/t3/ti?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=ti_home_page&SMENC=ISO-8859-1&SMLOCALE=US-EN&SMAUTHREASON=0&SMAGENTNAME=%24SM%24mT%252bGLraBu9CwUVnZg4mEDzB2kysT90hgbwsWgdZzNOc%253d&TARGET=%24SM%24https%3A%2F%2Ftechinfo.toyota.com%2Ft3Portal%2F

I took 1600x1200 photos of the two sheets she gave me and uploaded them to Photobucket.com as 1MB files (way too large, but I didn't want to lose resolution given the non-pro size options).  I pre-printed them and they are legible, so I hope somebody else can also print and read them OK.  Here they are:

It appears the Blue wire at TVIPpin3 and GBSpin5 is the signal (process of elimination).

+12 is White at TVIPpin11 and GBSpin2.

Ground is WHITE/ Black at  TVIpin16 and GBSpin6.

Ignition On is Black at TVIPpin8 and GBSpin3.

The Security Status LED is Brown at TVIPpin29.

The other Black (GBSpin7) and White (GBSpin8) are the glass break microphone.

So, here's hoping Blue plus diodes does the trick :) -- will have to test a little.  Thanks very much for the assistance with the hookup and sensor choice.  Hope the linked photos are useful.
