I have tha majority of the alarm installed and working, but some of the features i want need to be programmed, I am putting a viper 3002 on my 99 f250 sd diesel, i would like to setup the passive arming. Although when i try to enter the progamming mode, nothing happens, no chirps  no nothing?? Is there something i am missing in the instuctions? I am hoping someone has some experiance with this unit and can help me figure this out!

Did you hook up the green or purple  door pin wires? If so, are you opening the door before you turn the ignition on? Also, make sure you have your ignition from the alarm hooked up to the correct ignition on the truck, RED / grn I believe

yes  i have the green door wire hooked up , also have the constant power hooked up to the red and black , do not see a red and green under the dash, as the instructions say, open the door , turn on then off the ignition press and hold the valet switch. I have tried everything i can think of, maybe i got a bad unit??

Do you have ignition hooked up? Is the siren hooked up? You have constant power hooked to red and black? Clarify!

Try grounding the green wire whilst programing!
