   I have a normally closed cirucuit on my nitrous system that I want to wire so as to allow the circuit to be momentarily opened when the brake pedal is depressed and return to closed when the brake pedal is released.

   I have spent a few hours reading material and information on this website and didn't exactly undersand how to make a relay do this. Thanks so much for all of the inormaton that you guys have put on this site, it is GREAT!

Foot brake wire to terminal 86 of the relay.  Ground to 85.  Terminals 30 nd 87A are the 2 terminals you would use to achieve opwn when pedal is depressed.

Am I safe to make the assumption that this wiring format is good for anything similar so long as the amperage and other factors are within range?

A standard relay will hold 30amps constantly in that configuration.

I was looking at the "Starter Kill General Use" diagram(s), with no alarm or anything else. They show the "switch wire" and "starter wire" going onto the relay poles and I was wondering how the relay(s) can handle the amps of a diesel starter or other loads heavier than a car?

As long it is not the starter wire that runs from the batteries to the starter, the relay will be fine.  The starter control wire at the ignition switch, no problem.
