I just installed an Autopage RS-730 remote start with a DLPK. Everything works fine except that it takes 15-20 seconds for the car to remote start. The ignition powers on then 15-20 seconds later it starts. It starts fine, doesn't die after starting, does remote takeover just fine. I don't know what it could be. I talked to DEI and the tech didn't seem to think it was a problem. Any ideas?

i think you have autopage programmed for diesel. the pause time is for the glow plugs to heat up on diesels.

default the unit and program what you need.

Funny, i have noticed odd delays on some GM remote starts i have done recently and one was a Traverse. I use Idatalink and the delay was a little longer than usual but not as long as you. I also have noticed a lot of shutdown delays too. I can press the brake and count to 3 before it shuts off.

I know this doesn't help any but i thought it was odd...

Yea i don't know what it is. I don't have the problem with the shutdown just the start. Does the Idatalink give you a brake output? That could be where the shutdown delay is coming from.

I had this problem with some GM's too. Make you the correct ACC wire is getting powered directly from the RS and just not the bypass module.

Was this wired W2W or D2D?
