A customer brought me this unit to put into a 2000 Windstar. I had installed them in the past so I thought it would be simple. I can't get the unit to try to remote start. It flashes the lights 7 times and the manual shows that as "start canceled (manual transmission)". This is not a manual transmission model though. I have tried changing settings for tach and tachless, but nothing works. The manual is not accurate in some cases so I am wondering if there is a wire I need to ground to tell the unit it is in an auto tranny vehicle. Any help is appreciated. thanks

There was a jumper on the main board like tedmond suggested, that the factory must have forgot to cut when they put the "for auto transmission vehicles only" sticker on it. I guess I forgot to post back. Thanks Tedmond,
