bmw x5 2006 remote start?

has anyone done or know if this can be done??? Remote Start on a 2006 BMW X5 ? Thanks in advance

What kind of ignition key? Reg or plastic with push start?

regular key...no push start

Dead easy, it's the same wiring as 03/04 use a 556U with the grey Valet key only, set it up Euro-style, no loop. Tach is black wire in OBD 11 plug, tap the RED / blue pos. on the adjacent puddle lamp for your door triggers, no dome supervision needed, go into driver's door for neg. lock, unlock extend lock time for comfort (total) close. All done under driver's dash. No trunk (hatch) switch required, factory hood switch with purple green is already there, tap into it.
