Hey there guys can anyone give me a hand or email me pics of how to install the Pioneer AVIC N1 into my '01 Chevy S-10? I have been holding off on getting it professionally done as I was told it would cost about $300 to have it installed. I have installed all my own audio equipment in the past and this is totally new to me so if anyone could help me out that would be super awesome or point me in the right direction. Thanks for the help guys.

Well, as long as you have everything, the install isn't TOO bad. The only thing different, is wiring in the brain of the system. The head unit installs just like any other, although just be careful to route your wires neatly behind it, so as to not pinch anything. Also, if memory serves ( I had mine a while ago), you have to make sure that the brain is lined up front-to-rear with the car (should be markings to help with that). What might be a little trickier, is if you're adding other things alongside it.
Also, there should be a parking brake wire, and I believe one for the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Those should be easy enough to locate. The parking brake line on the N1, is designed to prevent video from being played on the main screen without the brake applied. Fairly straight forward.
Is there anything in particular, outside of "normal" operation, that you're looking at doing with it?
I had bad credit. Anyone have any they can loan me? lol
