amp and subs

yes im new to this.....   need help....    i have a cd player with 4 5.25  speakers running a 800 watt  4 channel amp. i want to put my 2 12 inch 800 watt xplod subs in the system.  can i bridge channel 3 and 4 for now and run the subs on that for now, until i get a mono amp ?  if so how would i wire the svc subs to that ? any help would be appreciated.... jlittle100

What amp? Make and model? Do you have the manual for it?

If you are running the 5.25" speakers off the amp, you won't be able to run the subs off channels 3 & 4. The only way that can happen is if the amp had a separate cross-over for channels 3&4 so you could send only low frequencies to the subs. From what I can tell, that amp doesn't have this. Best bet is to keep an eye out in the classifieds, etc. and find a used mono or two-channel amp to run your subs separately.
