With DEI, you need a store front and also minimum orders. With Compustar, Autostart, Audiovox and a slew of other, you can get them from distributors. If your in Ontario, contact Robert Thibert or Automobility for these brands.

if you want to stock bypasses, contact Progressive sounds for Fortin pieces, great people to deal with.

I prefer Audiovox, but that's probably because it's what I'm used to.
Whatever you do, I wouldn't recommend having too many different brands. It just makes it a much bigger hassle when you have to replace a defective unit, or upgrade from, say, a basic remote starter to an alarm/starter combo.
Some people do like to have one "value" line that's cheaper, and one more expensive brand with more features and/or better warranty. So maybe you'd want to carry two brands at most.
You might want to buy one or two units from several different brands, install them on your friends' or family members' cars at cost, and then get a feel for what you like best.
www.lesscoelectronics.com sells a few different brands, at only a little bit more than regular wholesale cost.....maybe you could buy one Avital (DEI), one Audiovox, one Ultra.....try those out and see what you think.
