I don't know what its really called but it comes in my friends Nissan Altima. You don't need to put the key in to start the car, just get in and press the button as long as the key is in range. Are there aftermarket universal kits for this or has it ever been retrofitted into an older car?

The car I want to retro fit it on is a 1985 corolla and a 1988 325is. My friend with has a 2007 altima. I think it comes with most new nissans.

okay i think you mean you want to add an intellikey to your corolla and 325.

well this isnt easy to do. if you search intellikey or diy immobilizer you will find why.

Ted, Intellikey is different than push to start. Intellikey you turn a knob as if it were a key cylinder(which it really is minus the key) where as push to start is, well, push to start. Depending on the year, Altima's had both as options....
