Has anyone ever tried installing an aftermarket radio in a 2003 Mercedes ML350? I cannot find any information about this vehicle on the internet... I'm looking for the radio wiring info. There doesn't even seem to be a harness made for this vehicle, although I believe a standard volkswagen plug should fit...
If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

I have not done this SUV gem yet, but I have done a couple Mercs. Hopefully howie can confirm some of this info or someone who has touched these.
First, how many speakers do you have in the vehicle? And do you have a premium sound system that you know of, such as Harman Kardon?
Usually the VW harness will work, but your acc and constant wires are backwards.
Antenna adapter is your VW-10
However there is no dash kit I pull up for this vehicle. So you will have to make one yourself.
The dash looks similar to the E-class radios I have worked with before, and coming from experience on these they are usually fiberoptic. So... what that means for you is you will have to bypass the amplifier/tuner. Your power can be pulled from your VW harness, but you will have to run all your speaker leads to after the amplifier. I would recommend 1 if not 2 amps to run the system if it is a multiple speaker system over 4.
IMO leave it alone and just do your ipod/sat radio add ons to the factory system if it is fiber optic.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
