With that much surface area and that much swept volume, you should get really deep and really loud with incredible sound quality. How much power are you going to be running to them?
You run IB main speakers in your home as well, correct?

OB actually,  4-way system with dipole Shiva's in stereo.   The Maelstroms will go in the ceiling, with a plan to cross them  below about 45Hz, powered with 1KW each.

IB, OB, just as long as they don't get hit with a BB. ;)
I run my Tempest at around 42 Hz and down and let my towers take care of the rest too. This means that I don't really hear the Tempest. I just feel it.
Once you get yours up and running, you will have to take the new Lord of the Rings Blue-rays for a ride. Just let the US Geological Survey know ahead of time so they don't issue an earthquake warning.
