im trying to run a bass know to my amp in a 1993 grand am. to do this will i need to take out the backseat, cause right now its looking that way, and how do i take out the back seat?

How is everything else ran there? If you do a temp tuck from view with that one wire, and that one only, then if the amp ever takes a dump, that knob may not fit the new one. Happened to me with Memphis before. The knob wasnt universal in my case. There has to be a release latch somewhere for the seat though.

well i tried running it under the plastic part that sits on the door frame into the part under the window mext to the seat, but couldnt run it through and couldnt see it at the ohter end but i dont know what got in my way

Could get a PAC-LC1. Its an rca knob. disconnect the rca's from the deck and put it to line out on the knob and run a new short rca from deck to the knob in. Might be easier and only have to run a short rca to where you want the knob, also would be universal to any amplifier if you ever switched.

welll i just tookthe seat out and for now ran in under the seat then out to next to my seat later ill go under the carpet and come up upder my seat, so no wires!

well i ended up gettin it out and running the wire puttin the seat back all fine and everything, but thanks anyway
