I've just realised why you posted this in the first place and here are your three answers.
1) Charged vehicle battery.
2) Hack the custom box out.
3)Pay for a tow truck and have the original installers remove it, reprogramme it, replace it, whatever because if you can afford to have this sitting around for so many years in your garage you can afford the last answer.

yes I know, that's why I posted my dilemma? I was hoping that some body out there has an 8080 manual or had enough know how to get me out of my jam? As far as ripping out the box, the system is over 20 thousand easy.. so I think flat bedding it is my best option right now?? All I need is the knowledge of how to put it into valet mode?? Money is tight now, but I will flat bed it this week if I can't figure it out. It's just so damn frustrating that the information is eluding me? Like I said, if I can't figure this out by the end of the week, then I will send the doodie box out... I was just hoping that some body out there had the same problem loosing the transmitter for the 8080, that's all?? Thanks for your time no matter what happens... I do appreciate it..

Thank you SO, so, so, so much!!! I am So, so, so, so happy!!! I really mean it, I made the mistake of searching out the wrong product numbers?? I did not realize that the 8080 was covered under the 8081?? Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Now how do you put the pin back in the hand grenade??

Your going to hate me, but after I look at the manual I realize I DO have a 8080 alarm... it was the year prior to the 8081... Thanks for trying... I still appreciate the effort...

the 8080, 8081 and 8070 all use the same manual.

try that and see if you can disarm it.

I was checking out the manual and it has a regular toggle switch, not the momentary toggle like in the 8080?? I do appreciate the time and your help... You were more help than the people who installed the damn thing.. They just say "bring it in" and then stopped answering my emails?? It sucks dealing with non professionals?? But then there are professionals like yourself that truly help, and for that you have my thanks...

a momentory button can be the same as a flip type switch when its flicked on and left there.

i appreciate the comment. the off position will just be off, when its left on, its equivalent to holding the momentary button

I desperately need to get my hands on the manual for Alpine's SEC-8080 alarm system. I just recently purchased a 8035 numeric keypad for the alarm so I could disarm the system (I lost the transmitter) and now found out that the programming information is in the 8080 instruction manual?? Please, if someone out there has a manual I will give you $ via paypal just to scan it and email it to me?? I thought I would have the car disarmed today, but without that manual to program it, I'm dead in the water... I want to thank you in advance for any help you may give me??
Sincerely,
Chris
