Got an '03 Toyota Tacoma, extended cab, manual trans, 2.7 four cyliner, 4x4. It has manual locks.
I picked up a Viper 5002, ultrasonic sensor, tilt sensor and Directed 524N electric locks (for keyless function). Starting to research the install and wiring diagrams. Any known gotchas to watch out for?
I was thinking about installing the brain on a mini-platform under the seat. The idea is to have the cable runs clean, neat and easily assessable by pulling the seat. Any problems with this location? Is there a better place?
Just in case -- any install experts in NW Florida or SE Alabama that wanna earn some cash for a total, no-excuses professional install?

Under the seat! One reason why not! The Shock sensor on that unit is on board!

Where would you recommend the brain be mounted?

Under the dash on the firewall if you can. Use industrial hook N Loop by 3m (velcro) It make it easier to get down to work on in the future and helps with the shock sensor.

Yes secured under the dash to a large wire harness or probably high up behind the instrument cluster resting on an air duct if possible!
