Ok has anyone had any experience with this stuff? They seem to be all over the map with subs made in the us, components in germany, and amps in korea - the latter makes me think they are of low grade mass produced crap. how would you rate them against audison amps or hertz or focal speakers?

Thier subs are GREAT spl subs. Shoot the WR for SPL was held by a single 18" DD sub. With just over 180db It held till this last spring nationals.

no their stuff is not mainly for SPL. They make one of the best subs on the market if not THE BEST. You can buy a sub for what ever you want (SQ,SQL,SPL, ect..). The factory is about 3 miles from my house in OKC, OK. DD = BEAST ASS SUBS that cant be beat

The 9500 series is a great sounding sub. If you are after a really good tonally responsive sub, short list the Eclipse (while you can get them) and the Morel Ultimo. Hertz/Audison has nothing in the same level of subwoofer as the Morel. There are any number of amplifiers that are made overseas that will easily compete with the Hertz/Audison line of amplifiers as well. ARC audio makes a stellar amp that would embarass the Audison amplifiers. There are lots of options that can build you a highly predictable system for your investment. The trick is to know how to match it together for the vehicle and your application.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
