Hello, i have a generic amp question. i have a 4ch amp in a 1995 Mercedes C220 that has been in that car for about 6 years now with no problems. my sister is pretty hard on her cars so im not suprised something went wrong but my question is that the unit is getting power and recieving power from the remote but there is no sound coming from the speakers. im wondering if the head unit went bad? she told me after 2 months that her power antenna was making a weird noise and that she smelt something burning from the front by the radio. im wondering if this could be that the power antenna fryed something in the radio and now it doesnt send signals out?
so yeah my question is how come there is no sound emitting from the speakers?

If the amp  is turnning on, then disconnect the rca's and plug in from another source, if sound then deck is problem.

An Ipod or an MP3 player with a walkman to RCA adaptor.

If you get no sound using the other source, it is either the amp or the speakers.
