Hi!

I have a Nakamichi TD-7 unit and would like to connect my portable MP3 player (Creative JUkeBox3) via Aux-In. The problem is that TD-7 supports only CD-Changer, not line-in. I've been using the cassete adapter but sound quality is the worst. I know that it is possible to make this connection. What I don't know is how to change the receiver to aux mode. Can anyone explain me what to do? What connections to make? Can anyone get me the electrical scheme of this unit(Nakamichi TD-7)?
Thanks a lot!

Most of the manufacturers for decks available in the US make auxilliary input adapters which plug in to the cd changer port on the back of the deck, and basically add a set of RCA inputs to the deck.  However I have not seen one for Nakamichi but I imagine it might be available somewhere. I do not have a wiring diagram for the cd changer port for this model, and even if I did it would probably not help you.  All different manufacturers use different data protocols on their cd changer ports and simply knowing which wires go to what is usually not enough for a proper connection.  Might want to try and contact them directly and ask if they make such an adapter.
