The eq is a clarion eqs746, and the reason I have the eq is because my deck only has to 1 set of outputs, and I needed 3 sets(front,rear, and sub).

ARE THERE ANY SPEAKERS CONNECTED TO THE SPEAKER WIRES OF YOUR RADIO?

No the speakers are hooked up to my voice amp

I checked my cars voltage with my volume up 3/4 and my system held around 12.8 to 14.3. The lights practically turned off on my eq but did not shut off. So would that be a ground issue?

You need to check the voltage AT the eq during the dimming.

weird. i just install my EQ and it is also a clarion EQS746 and when i turn the volume up the light of my EQ start dimming, nothing car is dimming but the EQ. i tried to find in the manual if that is some kind of feature of the EQ but foung nothing. wonder what is it. i just have my subwoofer amp. and the speaker to the stereo.
