hi everybody,

Say I have a double din kenwood source unit (DDX-514) already installed and I want to add an overhead and use kenwood's dual zone feature.  So basically I want to play my ipod up in the two front speakers and the kids can watch a movie in the rear with headphones or through the rear speakers. How could I do this?  I made all the right connections but when I enabled the dual zone feature the audio separated from front and rear but no visual to the overhead? I called up kenwood and they told me that the dual zone feature ONLY separates audio into two seperate zones, not video. That doesn't sound right. Does anyone know a way to get video to the rear along with the audio?

that is correct....I think only the 7 series and up will send video with the dual zone active, but i got it to work once.  if i remember right the radio had to be on the NAV screen in order for it to send video out, and i believe it needs to be set to "through" in the AV interface menu screen to work, and of course DVD output.  But it sucks because the second you switch it back to the source menu you'll lose your output.  It wasn't a feature that was integrated from Kenwood, but got it somehow....

...half of the truth can be worse than a lie. <----Roger Russell said that..
